Hunter Chemistry Style in FC 27

Pace + Shooting. The classic fix for a forward who needs pace — and the one style to double-check before you spend coins on it.

What Hunter boosts

Hunter boosts two attribute groups: Pace (PAC) and Shooting (SHO). It is the go-to style when a forward's finishing is fine but he can't get separation from defenders. Compare it with the full list in our FC 27 chemistry styles guide before you commit.

How the boost scales with chemistry

The boost is not fixed — it scales with that player's own chemistry points:

Player chemistryHunter boost
0 chemistryNo boost at all
1 chemistrySmall boost
2 chemistryMedium boost
3 chemistryMaximum boost (about +3 to Pace and Shooting)

A Hunter on a 1-chemistry striker is coins wasted. Use our FC 27 chemistry calculator to get the player to 3 chemistry first, then apply the style.

Best positions for Hunter

Rule of thumb: boost what the card lacks. A rapid winger gets more from Deadeye or Finisher than from Hunter — Hunter is for forwards who need pace.

Example: Hunter on a striker

Say your striker has decent shooting but only average pace, and he sits on 3 chemistry. Applying Hunter gives him the maximum Pace + Shooting boost (about +3 to each group), so he starts winning footraces he used to lose. Same card on 1 chemistry? Barely any boost — fix the chemistry first.

Hunter FAQ

When is Hunter the right chemistry style pick in FC 27?

Hunter is the right pick for forwards who need pace. If your forward is already fast, Finisher (Shooting + Dribbling) or Hawk (Pace + Shooting + Physical) usually adds more.

Does Hunter work on a low-chemistry player in FC 27?

It applies, but the boost scales with the player's own chemistry: 0 chemistry means no boost at all, 1 gives a small boost, 2 a medium boost, and 3 the maximum boost. Get the player to 3 chemistry first — here's why chemistry matters more than the style.

Hunter or Hawk for a striker in FC 27?

Hunter is still the easiest fix for a forward who lacks pace. If the forward is already fast, Hawk adds more because it also boosts Physical on top of Pace and Shooting.
