The calculator
Results are rounded to whole coins. The game displays rounded coin values, so your actual in-game number may differ by a single coin on unusual prices.
Every player you sell on the Ultimate Team transfer market loses a cut to EA's transaction tax. Type in a price, see exactly what you keep — no sign-up, no ads.
Summary: EA takes a flat 5% transaction tax on every FC 27 transfer market sale. To find what you keep, multiply the sell price by 0.95. To hit a target amount after tax, divide that target by 0.95 — this calculator does both for you below.

EA's transfer market tax is a single, public rule: 5% of every sale is taken by the game, and the seller keeps the other 95%. It applies to every player sale on the transfer market regardless of price — on low-value players the tax rounds to just a few coins, but it is still 5% of the sale price.
Say you sell a striker for 100,000 coins. The 5% tax takes 5,000 coins, so you keep 95,000 coins (100,000 × 0.95). Flip it around: if you want to end up with 100,000 coins after tax, you need to list at about 105,264 coins (100,000 ÷ 0.95, rounded up) — selling at 105,264 leaves you with roughly 100,001 after the 5% cut.
Trading tip: before spending profits on upgrades, check the player's chemistry first with our FC 27 chemistry calculator — a card on 0 chemistry gets no style boost at all.
