What Deadeye boosts
Deadeye boosts two attribute groups: Shooting (SHO) and Passing (PAS). It is the hybrid style — not quite a forward's style, not quite a midfielder's. It serves players who live in the final third but create as much as they finish. Compare it with the full list in our FC 27 chemistry styles guide.
How the boost scales with chemistry
The boost is not fixed — it scales with that player's own chemistry points:
| Player chemistry | Deadeye boost |
| 0 chemistry | No boost at all |
| 1 chemistry | Small boost |
| 2 chemistry | Medium boost |
| 3 chemistry | Maximum boost (about +3 to Shooting and Passing) |
A Deadeye on a 1-chemistry creator barely registers. Use our FC 27 chemistry calculator to get the player to 3 chemistry first, then apply the style.
Best positions for Deadeye
- Central attacking midfielder (CAM): the classic Deadeye slot — final balls, edge-of-the-box shots, nothing that needs dribbling or pace.
- False 9 / second striker (CF): drops into pockets, threads passes, and arrives late — the creator-striker blend Deadeye was made for.
Rule of thumb: Deadeye is for the pass-shoot axis. If your creator's game runs through his feet in tight spaces, look at Maestro instead.
When NOT to pick Deadeye
vs Finisher: when your player dribbles more than he passes — a mazy CAM who beats his marker and shoots — Finisher's Shooting + Dribbling is the better pairing. Deadeye is for passers, not ball-carriers.
vs Maestro: if you want Dribbling on top — a trequartista who carries into the box — Maestro adds it. Deadeye stays two-stat and disciplined; Maestro does everything and costs you focus.
Example: Deadeye on a CAM
Take a playmaking CAM on 3 chemistry whose vision is excellent but his finishing is inconsistent. Deadeye at 3 chemistry lifts Shooting and Passing (about +3 each): the through balls stay elite and the late runs now end in goals. On 1 chemistry the style is decoration — fix the chemistry first.
Deadeye FAQ
When is Deadeye the right chemistry style pick in FC 27?
Deadeye is the right pick for creators who score: playmakers, false 9s, and second strikers whose game is final balls and late finishes. Shooting + Passing, nothing wasted.
Deadeye or Finisher for a CAM in FC 27?
It comes down to playstyle. If your CAM dribbles more than he passes, Finisher's Dribbling is the better partner for Shooting. If he passes more than he dribbles, Deadeye wins. Remember that chemistry matters more than the choice itself.
Deadeye or Maestro for a creative midfielder in FC 27?
Maestro adds Dribbling on top of Shooting and Passing, so it's the pick for creators who also carry the ball. Deadeye is for creators who release it early — passers and finishers, not ball-carriers.
