Architect Chemistry Style in FC 27

Passing + Physical — built for midfield anchors who win duels.

What Architect boosts

Architect boosts two attribute groups: Passing (PAS) and Physical (PHY). It is the anchor's style — win the ball with your body, then start the attack with your passing. Compare it with the full list in our FC 27 chemistry styles guide before you commit.

How the boost scales with chemistry

The boost is not fixed — it scales with that player's own chemistry points:

Player chemistryArchitect boost
0 chemistryNo boost at all
1 chemistrySmall boost
2 chemistryMedium boost
3 chemistryMaximum boost (about +3 to Passing and Physical)

An Architect on a 1-chemistry anchor is coins wasted. Use our FC 27 chemistry calculator to get the player to 3 chemistry first, then apply the style.

Best positions for Architect

Rule of thumb: Architect is for midfielders who fight. If your anchor reads the game rather than wrestling through it, Powerhouse's defending boost fits better.

When NOT to pick Architect

Architect's passing + physical combo is seductive, but it leaves defending untouched. Know which anchor yours is:

Example: Architect on a CDM

Think of a 6'2" CDM who wins every header but sprays passes into the stands. On 3 chemistry, Architect gives him the maximum Passing + Physical boost (about +3 to each group) — he keeps winning his duels and now starts attacks instead of ending them. Drop him to 1 chemistry and the boost is a whisper — get him to 3 first.

Architect FAQ

Architect or Powerhouse on a CDM in FC 27?

Duel-winner or reader? If your CDM's value is shoulder-to-shoulder duels and stamina, Architect's Physical boost is the pick. If he survives on positioning and interceptions, Powerhouse's Defending boost helps more.

Does Architect boost defending in FC 27?

No — Passing and Physical only. If your anchor gets bypassed positionally rather than outmuscled, Powerhouse (Passing + Defending) or Backbone (Passing + Defending + Physical) is the honest choice — and chemistry matters more than the style anyway.

Can you put Architect on a striker in FC 27?

You can, on a target man: the Physical boost helps hold-up play and the Passing boost helps lay-offs. But it's a niche pick — most strikers get more from shooting styles like Hunter or Finisher.
